Child safety lock — rear doors
Tags: #normal-behavior
Symptom that's actually normal: if a rear inner door handle doesn't open the door from inside (while the door still opens fine from outside), this is very likely the child safety lock engaged, not a fault.
Location and control: there is a small switch lever on the edge of the door (the door jamb, where it meets the frame) that toggles the child lock on/off for each rear door independently.
Behavior: when enabled, passengers cannot open that door from the inside — useful for securing children in the back seat. When disabled, the inner door handle works normally like any other door 123.
