Custom X80 emblem/badge — sourcing and installation

Tags: #price

A custom X80 emblem/badge design is a popular personalization item among owners. Sourcing options: (1) locally, from craftsman Nikita Sergutsky in Omsk (contact via VK/Messenger) for around 2,000 RUB (RU market, April 2024); (2) AliExpress, a much cheaper alternative at roughly 5–6 RUB (pricing/shipping specifics unverified at that extreme end, but reported as-is by the community). Installation: apply with 3M double-sided tape on a clean, degreased surface. Typically installed in the badge area under the windshield ^{123456789101112}.

Removal technique for grille/trunk emblems: emblems on the grille and trunk can be removed using a heat gun followed by fishing line (pulled horizontally between the emblem and the mounting surface). Some badging may instead use clip connections into the trunk lid rather than adhesive. Heat-gun application should be gentle to avoid damaging the paint or the plastic backing ¹³¹⁴¹⁵.

Pre-facelift emblem dimensions (for custom ordering): known pre-facelift (dorest) badge dimensions: front emblem 14.8 × 8 cm, rear emblem 12.5 × 7.4 cm. Measure the existing badge or use these dimensions when ordering from a sign/graphics shop ¹⁶.

Custom badge creation via local advertising agencies: a popular sourcing route is a local рекламное агентство (advertising/signage agency): bring a cardboard template cut to match the existing emblem's size and shape, and the agency will produce a custom badge in any design/size, handling material selection and finishing themselves ^171819202116.

Vinyl custom emblems — pricing and long-term durability: custom vinyl emblems (e.g. with personal initials) cost roughly 500–600 RUB plus ~300 RUB shipping (RU market, May 2026) when ordered online. Installation is simple and does not require a heat gun. Reported durability: one owner's vinyl emblem held up for 3 years and 500+ car washes with no visible degradation from frost or heat ^{222324252627282930}.

Second Omsk-based custom-emblem maker (Telegram/VK): another custom-emblem craftsman, based in Omsk and reachable via Telegram and VK (https://vk.com/emblema), offers glue-on emblems: a 2 mm-thick large emblem costs 900 RUB (RU market, June 2024); a thicker replacement version costs 1,300–1,400 RUB. Orders require custom measurements and a sketch of the desired design ³¹³².
