Fuel filler cap rubber seal — replacement
Failure mode: the rubber sealing gasket on the fuel filler cap can tear from use over time, similar to other rubber seals on the car.
Sourcing: a replacement seal is available on the KitZap marketplace.
Removal caution: removal of the old gasket is difficult due to adhesive — the seal is bonded in place, so expect to work carefully to avoid damaging the surrounding filler-neck plastic while prying/scraping the old material off 123.
Fuel filler door lock — removal procedure: (1) remove the round black cover on the door edge; (2) remove the hex bolt with a socket; (3) extract the lock-rod clip carefully — these clips resist removal; (4) withdraw the lock assembly along with the key cylinder. Installation reverses the procedure 4.
