Pushsalo (пушсало): does not fully harden/cure — stays soft/tacky indefinitely. Consequence: attracts and accumulates dust, which eventually falls off, and the coating can visibly leak/drip if the car sits in hot sun. Lasts roughly 2 years maximum before needing reapplication. Best suited for hidden cavities and subframe/tube areas rather than exposed panels ¹²³⁴⁵. No strong odor reported, though one owner noted a mild smell that fades over time and isn't noticeable with the AC running ⁶.

Movil (Мовиль): hardens/cures, giving longer-lasting protection than Pushsalo. Recommended specifically for door cavities and other hidden body cavities — one owner cautioned it should be used only there and not on broader panel areas ⁷. A zinc-enriched Movil formulation ("состав мовили с цинком") is described as especially effective ("ядерная вещь" — extremely potent) — apply carefully and wipe off excess immediately, since cured residue becomes very difficult to remove later ^89101112. Because the X80's rocker panels/sills, underhood area, and lower door interiors are already sealed with factory sealant, Movil can also be applied to sills, under the hood, and inside door bottoms ⁷.

For visible/exposed areas (wheel arches, rocker panel bottoms): use a formulation with rubber/caoutchouc content rather than plain Movil or Pushsalo — described as the underside/arch/sill spec ¹³. If the body is free of existing corrosion, a dedicated anticorrosive spray product (brand mentioned: BODY) is preferred over pushsalo for those areas ¹⁴.

If corrosion is already present: don't just coat over it. Recommended process: clean/strip the rusted area properly first, apply an epoxy primer, then apply anticorrosive spray-can coating and let it fully dry — coating over unaddressed rust is not durable ¹⁵.

Interior cavity treatment and existing corrosion: applying vibration- damping sheets under the seams plus sound-deadening ("шумка") on top works well on a new (rust-free) car. If corrosion is already present, this combination is largely pointless and short-lived — the rust needs to be 100% eliminated first, only then does sound-deadening/vibration treatment make sense ¹⁶.

Sound-deadening substrate prep — same principle as above, restated: a separate, later report reinforces the same point independently: applying sound-deadening material ("шумка") improves comfort but requires proper substrate preparation — apply an epoxy primer to bare metal first, then apply the sound-deadening on top. Applying sound-deadening directly to cold, bare/unprimed metal causes adhesion failure and rust to develop underneath the material over time ¹⁷.
