Tags: #alternator · #part-number · #price

Normal charging voltage. When the alternator is working correctly, a voltmeter should read approximately 14.3V with the engine running — this is the normal charging voltage for the X80's 12V electrical system, useful as a quick health check before assuming a failed alternator ¹.

OEM alternator/generator part number for the X80: BM1118300 ². One owner's old unit failed with a seized diode bridge and required complete replacement; a new unit sourced from the Kitparts retailer, priced at 13,512 RUB (RU market, February 2025), was reported working reliably after several days of use ². Pricing fluctuates significantly between sellers and can shift meaningfully even within the same weekend — cheapest observed price around 10,000 RUB (RU market, February 2025), with the same "normal quality" part going up to 13,512 RUB (RU market, February 2025) depending on the retailer and timing; buying from a salvage/parts-out unit ("с разборки") was noted as the only way to go cheaper, though prices there can also be inflated on marketplaces like Drom ³⁴⁵⁶.
