Cruise control activation via Diagzon PRO

Cruise control can be activated on trims that shipped without it — either with the physical steering-wheel buttons already present but unprogrammed, or (per the original request in this thread) without buttons installed at all 12. Method: use Diagzon PRO software to access the ECU and change the vehicle's configuration across multiple coding blocks to match a higher trim level's options; the poster who did this successfully didn't recall the exact block numbers afterward — he went through several blocks changing the "комплектация" (trim/equipment level) setting 34. Once coded correctly, a cruise-control menu option appears in the climate/comfort settings block, where it can be enabled 3.

Side effects observed. On a lower-trim monochrome-display car, after coding it to report a higher equipment level, the small dash screen began showing temperature values instead of bar-graph gauges, and the (physically absent/inoperative) parking-sensor display started appearing on screen during reverse — cosmetic side effects of the trim spoofing rather than malfunctions 56. The BSM/comfort-module block ("блок комфорта") is also involved in this coding process, not just the main ECU 78.

Warning: update Diagzon before changing settings. One attempt made without first updating the Diagzon software triggered multiple warning lights on the dash — the car remained drivable, but the coding session was clearly unstable without the update; updating the tool first is described as critical to avoid this ("чуть не окирпичел машину" — nearly bricked the car) 8.

Confirmation from a separate case, with the operating sequence once enabled. A separate report confirms the same general path documented above: FAW X80 base/budget trims without cruise-control buttons can have the feature activated via diagnostic-software (RSM) configuration — but the physical steering-wheel buttons must first be installed and wired before activation, since the coding alone doesn't create the missing hardware. Once activated and the buttons are in place, operation is: at speed, press the on/off button on the right side of the wheel; use the joystick's minus (-) position to set the current speed as the cruise target; use the plus (+) position to increase the set speed 1011121314.
