Electrical connector disassembly technique

To disconnect electrical connectors on the X80 (e.g. airbag-sensor connectors), locate the fixator tabs — especially any yellow-colored ones, which some connectors have several of. Carefully bend the fixator tabs outward to release the connector. On some connectors, a black lever/clip needs to be pried out/unhooked first before the fixator tabs release. Work gently to avoid damaging the connector housing ¹²³.
