Components, connectors and signal lines read from the factory wiring-diagram (EWD) pages shared in the group. The text extracted from the PDFs is layout-scrambled, so connector pin-to-wire mapping is mostly not recoverable; use the PDF itself for exact pin work. Gateway and CAN networks (page 1113). The gateway control unit R25 (20-pin connector, pins 1-10 and 11-20) bridges four CAN-H/CAN-L pairs named Diagnosis, Comfort, PT (powertrain) and INFO. Pin pairs visible in the text are 1/11, 2/12, 3/13, 5/15 and 6/16, but which pair belongs to which bus cannot be recovered from the extraction. Modules cross-referenced on the page: diagnostic interface, PKE controller, A/C control unit, BCM, audio, combination meter, EPB actuator, airbag control unit, ABS/ESP, reversing radar, tire pressure alarm, panoramic view monitor and the three ECUs (pages 1101-1122) ¹.

Generator and charging (page 1112). Battery feed through Si13 (125 A) and generator fuse Si71 (175 A). Generator connectors by engine - 2.0L: E1 generator, E14 generator A, E42 generator; 1.8T: E40 generator power source, E34 generator excitation, E41 generator and a generator adjuster; 1.8TD: E51 generator, E65 generator power source, E52 generator excitation. Feeds go to the ECUs (pages 1101-1103) and the combination meter (page 1120) ². See also Alternator replacement.

Ground points (page 1116). Ground points G1-G25 are listed with the consumers bonded to them and the connector pin after "#": engine hood switch 2#, ESP/start-stop OFF switch 1#, low and high horn 2#, front wiper motor 5#, rear wiper motor 1#, headlights left/right 6# and 8#, fuel pump 4#, electric vacuum pump (1.8T) 1#, electric water pump (1.8T and 1.8TD) 2#, ABS/ESP control unit 13# and 38#, tire pressure alarm 16#, EPB actuator 1#, driving recorder 1# and 7#, sunroof unit 10#, rain sensor 2#, diagnostic interface 4# and 5#, driver seat heating cushion 2#, luggage-compartment lock 1# and 3#. G3, G4, G5, G8, G10 and G11 are drawn per engine (2.0L, 1.8T, 1.8TD) but their exact mapping is garbled ³. This is the diagram behind the community observation in No common chassis ground.

Immobilizer / anti-theft (page 1118). The anti-theft controller is split into connectors I32 (controller A, pins 1-8) and I33 (controller B, pins 1-3); the engine immobilizer coil is I40 (pins 1-3, wires B/Y and L/O). Signal lines SL, IM-H and IM; references to gateway unit pins 129 and 130, ECU(2.0L) pin 15, diagnostic interface pin 133 and the combination meter (page 1120) ⁴. Keyless entry and start, PKE (page 1119). PKE controller with connector pins A1-A40; PKE antennas A and B, antennas 1-4 and sensing antennas 5 and 6; request switches (outer and inside) at the front door handles; engine switch, electrical steering-column lock (I27), smart key (remote controller) and immobilizer coil. Fuses Si27, Si42, Si58, Si60 and Si66 are listed in the fuse card ⁵. Window and mirror controllers also talk to the PKE controller ⁶.

Tire pressure alarm (page 1106). The tire pressure alarm unit is connector R11 (pins 1-16) with a 5 V supply and CAN-H/CAN-L; related items are an RF antenna, LFI, transponder IC, power-source chip, ACC relay, IGN1/IGN2 relays and links to the gateway and PKE controller ⁷. Parking radar (page 1111). Reversing-radar control unit R7; front sensors FF4 (L), FF5 (CL), FF6 (CR), FF7 (R); rear sensors RA5 (L), RA4 (CL), RA3 (CR), RA2 (R) (L = left, CL = centre left, CR = centre right, R = right); parking-radar switch, gateway (page 1113), PKE controller (page 1119) and combination meter; fuse Si59 "Meter" 5 A ⁸. BCM labels (page 1117, partial). Fuse and circuit labels legible in the extraction: Meter, Hazard Warning Light, Front Fog Light (FFL), Rear View Mirror Motor (RH and LH), Brake Light, Horn, BCM, Door Lock, BNT, Rear Wiper, BCM Washer Motor, Low Beam, High Beam, Small Light, Light Relay, TNS Relay, Dimmer Switch and Room Light; amperage tags cannot be matched to the names ⁹.

Page 1121 components. Cigarette lighter R35 (2-pin), backup power source R36 (2-pin) and inner rear-view mirror H3 (10-pin); the back-up light switch and relay are referred to the BCM (page 1117) ¹⁰. See Cigarette lighter and 12V outlet fuses.

Airbag system (page 1122). Airbag control unit connectors R14 (A4), R15 (A6) and R19 (A8); front airbags left I41 and right I11, driver airbag R16, front passenger airbag R13, curtain airbags left R28 and right R5; seat-belt pretensioners left R17 and right R2; driver-side collision sensor R18, right side collision sensor R1 and the seat-belt occupancy sensor (page 1123). The squib loops are labelled "Gas Generator" and "Short Circuiter". No test values are given; work on airbag circuits only per the service manual ¹¹. See Airbag warning light stuck on.

Seats (page 1123). Driver: adjustment switch DS4, seat-back motor DS7, forward/back motor DS5, height motor DS3, heating cushion DS6, buckle switch DS1. Front passenger: adjustment switch FPS4, seat-back motor FPS6, forward/back motor FPS5, buckle switch FPS1, heating cushion FPS3, occupancy sensor FPS2. Heater relays C30 and C31 ¹².

Switch circuits (page 1125). ESP OFF switch, idle start-stop OFF switch, EPB switch, small-light dimmer switch, multi-function control panel, central door-lock switch, two shift switches, front and rear room-light switches, spiral cable, sunroof switch, parking-radar/panoramic-view switch and headlight-leveling switch; fuse Si59 "Meter" 5 A ¹³.

Power windows (pages 1126-1127). Five controllers: front window left (driver), outer rear-view mirror controller, front-passenger window controller and the two rear-door window controllers. The driver window motor shows UP/DOWN outputs on connector pins 5, 4, 12, 14, 15; other motors use FR10 (front passenger), RL5 (rear left) and RR5 (labelled as the front passenger door in the text, probably a typo for the rear right door). Mirror fold/unfold motors (left and right) are driven together with the PKE controller; BCM pins A1-A9 and B1-B14, connectors IC1, IC2, FL8 and FR10. Page 1127 ("single door") shows the same controller set, so its title probably refers only to the driver-door circuit. Both files are truncated in the extraction ⁶¹⁴.
