Battery warning at startup — fuel delay
Tags: #fuel-pump
A vehicle intermittently showed the battery warning light during the key-turn/startup sequence, then would go on to start normally. The warning appeared once at first, then sporadically (roughly once a week) 1. The owner's working theory, after ruling out an actual battery problem (since the light appeared only once per failed attempt and the car otherwise started fine), was the fuel delivery system — filter or fuel pump — not supplying fuel immediately on key-turn, rather than a real electrical/battery fault 2. Plan was to get an OBD scan and diagnostic check at an official dealer to confirm. Lesson for troubleshooting: a battery-warning light at startup doesn't always mean a battery/charging problem — intermittent, self-resolving occurrences are worth checking against fuel-delivery timing too.
