GLONASS transducer — location

Tags: #glonass

The GLONASS (Russian satellite positioning system) speaker/transducer is mounted under the driver's seat, related to the integrated navigation/ tracking system. The component can be identified by its location and shape during an interior inspection ¹²³.

Connection status varies between cars: some owners report the under-seat GLONASS speaker/transducer is present but not connected to any audio input on their car, while other owners report having it connected. It's not consistent across the fleet — check your own vehicle rather than assuming based on another owner's report ⁴⁵⁶⁷⁸⁹.

Reinforcing report — mistaken for a speaker: a separate report confirms the same identification point above: the box-like component under the driver's seat that resembles a speaker is in fact the GLONASS module, a standard vehicle component — not an audio speaker ¹⁰¹¹.
