Heater/cabin blower fan issues

Intermittent operation, fixed by cleaning out dust. If the heater fan only spins after the car is jostled or bumped (e.g. only starts after a tap/knock, or stops working entirely and needs a physical hit to restart), the most common and easiest-to-check cause is dust/debris accumulation inside the fan motor housing — not a wiring or electrical fault. Access: the fan is located behind/under the glovebox area, and reaching it is described as straightforward once the glovebox is out. Fix: remove the fan assembly and blow it out thoroughly with compressed air; one owner reported a surprising amount of dust and leaf debris came out, and the fan resumed fully normal operation after cleaning 12 3. Before assuming the motor itself is bad, check fuses and the relay first, since oxidized contacts there can produce similar intermittent symptoms 2. In one case a simple tap/knock under the glovebox was enough to get it running again even without disassembly, confirming a loose/dirty mechanical contact rather than an electrical fault 4.

Bearing wear as the next suspect if cleaning doesn't fix it. If cleaning out dust doesn't resolve rough or noisy operation, the motor's bearing may be worn or failing and should be checked/replaced next 5. Bearing replacement is possible without buying a whole new blower motor: one owner successfully replaced just the bearing, reporting that while the first attempt takes longer because of unfamiliarity with full disassembly, it isn't difficult once you've done it once 6789. Confirmed bearing part: 608-ZZ (also referenced as 80018), NSK brand, sourced via Wildberries; a 35mm FORCEKRAFT bearing-puller tool assists with extracting the old bearing during the swap 910.

Fan/blade breakage — parts sourcing. A separate report describes physical blade breakage on a cooling fan assembly, with a temporary patch of soldering the broken blade(s) back on to extend service life a little longer — but this is explicitly a stopgap, not a real fix, since the fan blades and motor are not sold as separable parts; a full fan-assembly replacement is the only permanent fix once blades are physically broken 1112. Part reference for the complete cooling-fan assembly (5DA015025): available through the KitZapchasti catalog, with a second listing also found on kitparts.ru 13. For budget-conscious owners, checking salvage yards/junkyards and classifieds (Avito) for a used take-off fan assembly is a cheaper alternative to a new unit 11.
