Smart-key covers — prices and compatibility

Tags: #aliexpress · #price

Compatibility: metal smart-key covers with bolt fasteners fit standard 3-button smart keys but do NOT fit retractable/flip-blade keys. Simple leather covers (no metal case) fit both key types — verify which key type you have before ordering the metal-case version ¹²³.

Prices (AliExpress, RU market, September 2024): - Leather cover with metal case and bolt fasteners: 529 RUB with a 50% discount (regular price ~1,058 RUB); a similar listing at 531 RUB was also seen ⁴⁵⁶. - Simple leather cover (no metal case): 391 RUB (RU market, September 2024) with a 20% discount ⁷. - Delivery to Moscow: ~9 days; a small screwdriver is included in the package ⁸.

Steel/metal case alternative vs. AliExpress silicone/leather covers: factory keys often show wear/scratches from previous handling. Two alternatives compared: (1) AliExpress silicone/leather covers (~500 RUB+, RU market, January 2026) — bulky, and signal-blocking issues are common (remote range reduced by 1–2 floors), which affects key transmission; (2) steel/metal case alternative — sturdier appearance, better durability (~1,000 RUB, RU market, January 2026), shows wear less, includes color options (brown-leather accents, black), and preserves a slim profile. The steel case requires disassembling the original key; the buttons and key ring fit inside the new case without modification. One user reports the steel case works reliably and the battery still lasts normally after the swap ^{91011121314151617}.

Folding key cover/case — cross-model compatibility (X40, B50, R7, B70, T99, X80): a folding key cover/case is available that fits the FAW Besturn X80 as well as the X40, B50, R7, B70, and T99. Available on AliExpress (SKU links shared in the community) and via Chinese retailers on Ozon. AliExpress pricing: ~893.80 RUB (RU market, March 2026) with a 48% discount; build quality varies slightly, with cosmetic wear reported by some buyers (чуть коцки). Delivery: ~10 days on AliExpress, slower on Ozon. Used/secondary-market units have sold for around 750 RUB (RU market, March 2026) ^18192021.

Key-fob case assembly — relayed AliExpress purchase cost: sourcing a keypad/key-fob case assembly from AliExpress via a purchasing relay costs approximately 1,000 RUB total (RU market, August 2024) with shipping (roughly 500 RUB for the case itself, 450–500 RUB for delivery). Cases include the hardware needed for installation. A lighter-weight alternative: universal leather cases, though fitment varies ²².

Folding metal key cover, September 2026. A folding metal-body key-fob cover listed for the FAW Besturn X80 (2013 to 2018) sold on AliExpress for ~954.65 RUB after a 23% discount (RU market, September 2026); a buyer confirmed it is a good metal case ²³²⁴.
