Push-button start install and key detection
Some FAW X80 trims/configurations have push-button start/stop capability, and a factory push-button start kit exists for cars that don't come with it. Installing it requires a skilled auto-electrician, since it involves integrating with several vehicle systems (ignition, immobilizer, body control) rather than a simple bolt-on part — this is explicitly not a DIY job 123.
"Key not found" warning when pressing brake + start. On cars with push-button start, if a "key not found" warning appears when pressing the brake pedal and the start button together, the things to check are: battery condition (main 12V battery, not just the key fob), the key fob's own battery, or — if those check out — proceed with the full key re-learning procedure (see the key-fob programming card for the step-by-step). Even when the key isn't detected, pressing brake then start may still trigger some auxiliary functions, which can make the fault look partial/inconsistent rather than a clean pass/fail 45.
