Clutch is shared with the first-generation Mazda 6 (GG). Тимур says the FAW X80 clutch is unified with the first-generation Mazda 6 (GG platform), with a 225 mm disc, so only an original is not required: Trialli, LUK or Sachs aftermarket parts, or Mazda 6 kits, are suggested, after checking the number of splines (шлицы) against the VIN (vehicle identification number) or the removed part. Original FAW numbers to check against: 5CA016460 (disc) and 5CA016410 (pressure plate / basket, корзина) ¹. Photos posted by Никита show a disc marked "К МАХОВИКУ" (flywheel side) and a pressure plate whose stamp appears to read 5CA0-16410; the other number was not visible ²³.

Triali FR 2750 kit and the OEM brand (Sep 2026). Victor 🇷🇺 notes that Triali FR 2750 is sold as a clutch kit for the X80 (basket, driven disc and release bearing). Its listed diameter is 225 mm although stock is 230 mm (a discrepancy with the 225 mm figure above), and the OEM clutch is made by Exedy, which the parts catalogue naturally does not list. He says the Triali driven disc looks like the Krauf TCZ1128AS, a mediocre make ⁴.

Price check (Sep 2026). Victor 🇷🇺 plans to replace only the driven disc and release bearing. A Valeo basket costs about 14,000 RUB (RU market, Sep 2026) and an OEM basket was quoted at about 7,500 RUB (RU market, Sep 2026); units are not written in the message and are assumed to be roubles, and he does not believe a genuine OEM basket comes for 7,500, expecting cheap poor-quality Chinese ⁵.

Replacement measurements: new basket and disc stack (Sep-Oct 2026). While replacing the clutch Victor 🇷🇺 found nothing damaged on the old parts but measured differences: the new pressure plate sits 0.5 mm further from the flywheel and his new driven disc is 1.1 mm thicker, so the compressed stack is about 1.6 mm against a pressure-plate stroke of 1.5-3 mm that the Alisa voice assistant gave him, so every millimetre matters. He considered shims under the cover or another kit, and was unsure whether the pedal also needs adjusting afterwards. Do not overtighten the cover bolts: the anti-rotation bolts are practically impossible to unscrew later ⁶. Disc thickness: worn vs new. Никита compared photos of his old, worn disc with a new one: in the first photo the new disc is on top, in the second on the right, and he says his worn disc is the same thickness as the new one; no measurements were given ⁸⁹.

Release bearing grease: plastic vs metal (Oct 2026). Victor 🇷🇺 fitted a metal Valeo release bearing (выжимной подшипник; the factory one has a plastic inner part, which he says should not be greased) and greased it with thick special lithium grease, together with the lever tips, the ball the lever rests on and the splines of the input shaft ¹⁰. Disagreement: Victor 🇷🇺 says manufacturers forbid greasing, in their instructions, because dust sticks and the plastic jams ¹¹¹²; Serega asks why the same dust-abrasion problem would not apply to a metal bearing, since dust packing into grease would act as an abrasive and wear it quickly ¹³.
