Symptom and typical mileage. The crankshaft seal ("сальник коленвала") can develop an oil leak around 130,000+ km, typically noticed as oil weeping/seepage at the joint between the engine and transmission — the location makes it easy to mistake for a transmission-side leak, so inspect carefully to identify which side is actually leaking before ordering parts.¹²³⁴⁵

Labor-intensive job, often bundled with valve work. Replacing the crankshaft seal is labor-intensive because of the disassembly required to reach it, so owners frequently schedule it together with valve-clearance adjustment work (see the separate valve-clearance card) when the engine is already partially suspended/accessed for that job — sharing the labor overhead between the two jobs.¹²³⁴⁵

Sourcing. Compatible seals from Mazda are available and commonly used as a cross-reference part. Front and rear crankshaft seals are sold separately (not as a combined kit) on Ozon and other retailers — make sure to identify and order the correct one (front vs. rear) for the leak location found on inspection.¹²³⁴⁵
