Cruise control activation via diagnostic software

Tags: #cruise-control · #part-number

Cruise control can be activated (enabled in the ECU) using DiagZone Pro diagnostic software ¹. The hardest part of the job is physically locating the cruise-control switch — an 8-pin connector positioned on the left side of the steering-wheel/column area ²³. One owner sourced a pre-restyle cruise-control switch from izap24.ru and confirmed it fits and works on a post-restyle car ⁴.

Aftermarket cruise-control button + activation-service pricing: physical cruise-control buttons for installation into the existing steering-wheel button panel are available on AliExpress; installation itself is self-serviceable with no special tools needed. However, activation still requires the specialized OBD programming software (per DiagZone note above), which is not widely distributed — the actual activation procedure takes only ~10 minutes once the software/technician is available. Reported service cost: 3,000–8,000 RUB (RU market, March 2026). Some shops quote high prices (8,000 RUB+, RU market, March 2026) without actually having the capability to perform the activation, so it's worth vetting a shop's actual equipment before paying ^567891011.
