Engine gaskets — cross-brand fitment

Tags: #gasket · #part-number

Chinese aftermarket gaskets — fitment problems. Chinese aftermarket parts suppliers frequently ship engine gaskets that don't fit properly. The standard part number 5GA061A10 has specifically been reported to arrive undersized relative to the correct dimensions. Recommendation: prefer original or verified cross-brand alternatives (Mazda or Ford) over generic Chinese aftermarket listings for this part¹²³.

Ford Mondeo cross-compatibility — a better alternative. Engine gaskets from the Ford Mondeo (2008-2013) reportedly fit the X80, with roughly 90% of engine components from the Mondeo showing cross-compatibility overall — consistent with the X80's shared Duratec HE engine lineage. An alternative part number specifically for X80F model variants is GV7D61A10⁴⁵⁶.

Exhaust manifold gasket alternatives. Exhaust manifold gasket for the X80 (MT or AKPP) can be sourced from Mazda 6 GG/GH models or the FAW V50. The original part costs roughly 14,500 RUB (RU market, Oct 2025). Verify availability with parts suppliers before ordering, as fitment across sources isn't fully standardized^789101112.

Plastic oil pan gasket set availability. Gasket/seal kits for the plastic oil pan (carter) are available from Chinese-parts suppliers (китзапчасти); MASTER GTR-brand kits are one confirmed option, including multiple seals for oil-pan mounting. An exact part number was not specified in the source thread, but the packaging carries Cyrillic labeling matching OEM specification^13141516.

Cylinder head gasket — metal type, OEM part number. Cylinder head gasket part number: FAW X80 METAL 1003030A-37K. This is a metal gasket (not an asbestos-composite type), available on Ozon. Chinese parts sites offer alternatives for roughly 1,040 RUB (RU market, Mar 2026), but quality relative to the OEM metal version is uncertain — a similar caution to the Chinese-aftermarket fitment problems already documented on this card for other gaskets¹⁷¹⁸¹⁹.

Intake manifold gasket set — Ford/Mazda cross-compatible kit. An intake manifold gasket set is available as a Ford/Mazda cross-compatible kit (via an Ozon listing), offered as an alternative to sourcing OEM specifically for the X80's intake manifold. Installation requires removing the intake manifold. One open question raised by owners: whether all 5 gaskets in the kit are needed for the X80, or only 4 square gaskets plus 1 round gasket — verify against the actual manifold before ordering a full kit if only a partial set is needed^20212223.

Broader donor-vehicle list for gaskets and rubber/seal parts. Beyond the Mondeo/Mazda 6 cross-references already documented on this card, the X80's 2.0L engine (Ford Duratec-derived architecture) shares common gasket and seal parts with a wider donor family: Ford C-MAX, Escort, Fiesta, Focus, Fusion, Mondeo, and Mazda 3, 6, plus Opel Antara and Chevrolet Captiva. Confirmed cross-fit items sourced from these donors: spark plugs, valve cover gaskets, intake manifold gaskets, the crankcase ventilation (PCV) tube, the transmission oil pan gasket, and the transmission fluid dip tube^{2425262728293031}.
