Engine and gearbox wiring diagram component codes

Electrical wiring diagram (EWD) pages shared in the group name the engine-control and gearbox-control components of the three engine variants. Component codes (E9, F6, ...) are the diagram's own labels. The text extracted from the PDFs is layout-scrambled, so pin-level wiring is not captured; open the PDF for pin numbers.

2.0 L engine (EWD page 1101, file Z001 ECM 2.0.pdf). Intake air pressure/temperature sensor E9, electronic throttle valve body EN5, camshaft position sensor EN6, engine water (coolant) temperature sensor W1, speed sensor E13, accelerator pedal sensor R22, knock sensor E16, EGR valve F10, front and rear oxygen sensors F6 and F7, canister solenoid valve F29, intake manifold long/short solenoid valve F5, intake tumble control solenoid valve F9, OCV (oil control valve) solenoid valve E3, fuel injectors EN1-EN4 ("Nozzle 1-4") and ignition coils F1-F4. The ECU is labelled ECU1¹.

1.8T engine (page 1102, Z002.pdf). Electric throttle valve body E28, accelerator pedal sensor R22, camshaft position sensor E25, knock sensor E32, speed sensor E33, air mass flow meter E27, boost pressure sensor F48, brake vacuum sensor F47, ambient pressure sensor E35, A/C pressure sensor F41, canister E36, electronic vacuum pump, electric water pump, front and rear oxygen sensors F44 and F43, injectors E17, E19, E21, E23 and ignition coils E18, E20, E22, E24. Some labels are marked "(!2.0L)", possibly meaning parts not used on the 2.0 L².

1.8TD engine (page 1103, Z003.pdf). Injectors ENT1-ENT4, ignition coils E48, E50, E57, E58, knock sensor E73, front oxygen sensor E60, rear oxygen sensor F37, crankshaft and camshaft sensors, rail pressure sensor ENT5, speed sensor E53, electric throttle valve body E69, intake air pressure/temperature sensors E61 and E62 (before and after the throttle), coolant temperature sensor, intake OCV, canister, supercharger and accelerator pedal sensor R22. Some labels are ambiguous³.

Actuators per variant (page 1115, Z015.pdf). 2.0 L: injectors 1-4, ignition coils 1-4, EGR solenoid valve, intake manifold long/short switch, intake tumble control solenoid valve, OCV valve, canister solenoid valve. 1.8T: injectors 1-4, ignition coils 1-4, exhaust gas control valve, air mass flow meter, variable camshaft timing, canister solenoid valve. 1.8TD: ignition coils 1-4, supercharger control solenoid valve, intake bypass valve, exhaust OCV valve, intake OCV valve, canister solenoid valve. The page also lists the front and rear oxygen sensor heaters of each variant; the ECU pin mapping is not recoverable from the text⁴.

Oil pressure switch connectors (page 1120, Z020 IC.pdf). E15 on the 2.0 L, E8 on the 1.8T and E71 on the 1.8TD; brake fluid level sensor connector F8 sits on the brake fluid reservoir. The same page lists the gateway control units (131 and 132), the anti-theft controller (161), the generator (118, see page 1112), the PKE (keyless entry) controller (162) and the spiral cable (97 and 99)⁵.

2nd-generation automatic transmission (page 1104, Z004 TCM.pdf). TCU-controlled parts: pressure control solenoid valves for Clutch 1, Clutch 2 and Brake 1, the main oil line pressure control solenoid valve, a lock control solenoid valve, shift solenoid valves 1 and 2, an oil temperature sensor, input and output torque sensors, a gear position switch, shift switch R33, multi-function switch F25 and the oil temperature and speed sensor F26. The TCU connector is labelled AT and the page cross-references ECU (1.8T) and ECU (2.0L). Ignition switch positions OFF, ACC, IG1, IG2, ST and SL are shown⁶.

3rd-generation automatic transmission, 1.8TD (page 1105, Z005 TCM.pdf). Pressure control solenoid valves for Clutch 1, 2 and 3 and Brake 1, main oil line pressure solenoid, lock control solenoid, shift solenoid valves 1 and 2, oil temperature sensor, input and output torque sensors, select position switch F23 (positions P, R, N, D, S), multi-function switch F28, oil temperature and speed sensor F34, shift switch R33, battery sensor F54, DC/DC converter F50 and the back-up (reverse) light relay⁷.
