The factory plastic cargo floor degrades and cracks over time. DIY replacement: use 12 mm plywood (chosen over 10 mm since the price was about the same at time of purchase) with a self-adhesive carpet layer (graphite color) on top. The plywood sheet fits within the original floor's 6 mm depth recess. If the plywood has cross-ribs underneath for rigidity, even an 8 mm sheet performs far better than the original degraded plastic. Fastening: a stapler works for attaching the carpet layer — use a stapler with sharp staples, since dull staples bend instead of driving in cleanly ¹².
