Floor mat attachment and securement methods

Tags: #clips · #price

Stock X80 floor mats come with adhesive tape strips and side clips. For enhanced securement, owners report: applying larger adhesive tape pieces and sewing the mats to the carpet/base along the edges with heavy-duty thread. The stock plastic clips need regular replacement — some owners report replacing them on a roughly monthly basis. Alternative: use two-sided automotive tape for full-perimeter adhesion instead of relying on the clips ^1234567.

Mat material by season — EVA vs. rubber: two main floor-mat types suit different seasons. EVA mats excel in winter — water-resistant, resist moisture, easy to shake out and dry. Rubber mats work better in summer — easy to wipe clean with a damp cloth, dry quickly. Combination approach used by some owners: factory rubber mats in summer, switched to EVA in winter. BigFoot brand (autokovrik-bigfoot.ru) is recommended for quality. Note: OEM factory mats deteriorate over time as their glue/backing fails ^{891011121314151617}.

EVO EVA floor mats — custom-cut option and pricing (May 2024): EVO EVA floor mats made specifically for the FAW X80 are available on Wildberries. Custom-fitted mats can also be ordered at local car accessory shops — professional shops cut and edge-seal EVO material to the exact floor contours, with a 2–3 hour turnaround, including anti-slip backing. Cost with professional installation: approximately 2,500 RUB (RU market, May 2024); pre-made standard mats are also sold directly on Ozon and Wildberries without custom cutting ^{18192021222324}.

Ozon floor mats — good price/quality report: separately, another Ozon listing for FAW Besturn X80 floor mats (sourced from China) was recommended by an owner for good price and quality, with a choice of colors available at checkout: https://ozon.ru/t/gaxnwfC ²⁵²⁶.

EVA trunk mat. A black EVA trunk mat (коврик) for the FAW Besturn X80 (2013 onward) was listed by the Prime-avto shop in October 2025; no price was given.²⁷
