Rear seat removal — procedure and fuel pump access

Tags: #fuel-pump · #removal

Rear seat removal procedure: rear seat cushions and backrests remove easily without removing the front seats. The rear seat bottom simply lifts up; backrests can be folded down and secured with rope ties. Complete rear seat removal takes approximately 30 minutes. Rear seatbelt hardware is warranty-covered; a failed seatbelt can alternatively be sourced from salvage yards at much lower cost than the dealer warranty process (example: 800 RUB (RU market, April 2024) vs. a warranty claim process reported to take 2 years) ¹²³⁴.

Fuel pump access via rear seat removal: to access the fuel pump, remove the rear bench seat by unbolting two fasteners — one per side, near the passenger's feet, at the seat-to-floor junction. Lifting the seat exposes the fuel pump area directly, without needing to remove any other interior trim ⁵⁶⁷.

Rear seat removal — bolt-under-cap procedure (reinforcing report): consistent with the fastener-based removal noted above, a separate report confirms: rear seats are secured with bolts located under plastic caps at the passenger foot area (behind the footwells) — described as two bolts on each side, a slightly higher count than the "one per side" noted in the fuel-pump-access report above (possibly reflecting a trim/generation difference, or an imprecise earlier count). Removal requires simple bolt extraction and is documented as a quick disassembly ⁸.
