Sound-damping material ("шумка") installed in the trunk or floor can trap moisture and cause fungal/mold growth if: (1) drainage holes are blocked; (2) the ventilation/return-air valve is sealed over; or (3) the material itself allows condensation to form and stay trapped. Symptoms: a mold smell, visible fungus under or around the damping material. Solution: remove the damaged шумка, dry the interior thoroughly, and reinstall with proper drainage maintained (don't seal over drain holes or ventilation valves when installing) ¹²³⁴⁵.
