Trunk LED light tape sourcing: LED light tape for trunk illumination is available via Ozon: https://ozon.ru/t/JTOdgil (Besturn X80 trunk LED strip). It is also available from AliExpress at roughly half the price, but with 3+ week shipping from China ¹²³⁴.

Trunk light installation — routing and rattle prevention: to install an aftermarket trunk light, route the power line behind the plastic trim to the ceiling light. Secure the wiring behind the trim using foam padding inserted into the plastic slots to prevent it rattling against body panels ⁵⁶⁷.

LED interior light installation — practical experience: one owner (Artem) installed an LED light fixture inside the X80, completing the job in about 30 minutes. The main issue encountered was that the wire colors differed from what was expected/documented; aside from that, installation was straightforward ⁸⁹¹⁰.

Trunk LED strip installation — detailed step-by-step procedure: (1) remove the trunk light dome/plafond; (2) connect the LED strip leads to the plafond contacts to determine correct polarity — if the plafond glows, polarity is wrong; if the LED strip lights up, polarity is correct; (3) remove the plastic latch/access hatch ("lyuchok") on the inner left side of the trunk; (4) thread a thin guide wire from the plafond opening through the lyuchok hole; (5) tape the LED strip leads to the guide wire from the lyuchok side; (6) pull the guide wire back out from the plafond side, dragging the LED leads through; (7) solder or clip the LED leads to the plafond wiring using separate connectors, respecting polarity; (8) route the LED strip under the trunk seal (уплотнитель); (9) secure/tighten the wiring; (10) push excess wire back into the lyuchok and close it. Alternative routing: run the wiring along the car's ceiling under the headliner panels for a fully hidden installation. LED strip used: a 2 m silicone-flexible strip, common brands from Ozon, priced ~300–500 RUB (RU market, December 2025). Test illumination before final sealing ^{11121314151617181920212223}.

Alternate LED strip install procedure — stiff-wire fishing guide: a second documented procedure, consistent with the detailed steps above: (1) carefully remove the factory trunk ceiling light; (2) route LED power wires under the trim using a stiff wire guide (e.g. taped to the power wires) to thread through the body cavities; (3) connect the LED wires to the factory light's contacts using either provided clip connectors or by soldering; (4) the LED strip adheres using weatherstrip rubber along the cargo-area ceiling; (5) verify adequate clearance under the plastic trim so wires aren't crushed when the trim is reinstalled. Installation takes about 20–30 minutes. Alternative for less DIY effort: purchase pre-wired kits designed specifically for the X80, sold with detailed photos/video in their Ozon product listings ^{242526272829303132}.

Motivation for trunk LED retrofit — visibility improvement (reinforcing report): consistent with the LED trunk-lighting installations documented above, retrofitting LED lighting in the trunk significantly improves visibility for evening loading/unloading. LED strips installed along the upper edges of the cargo opening provide bright white illumination across the entire trunk area. The light activates only when the trunk is open. The modification is described as particularly worthwhile for owners who load/unload the trunk frequently ³³³⁴³⁵.

LED interior lighting — independent wiring and relay requirement: to install LED strip lights or other custom interior lighting in the X80 cabin: (1) run both positive and negative power lines independently — there is no shared/common ground available to tap into; (2) power must be routed through a relay module to handle the LED current draw — a direct connection to door switches or existing interior circuits will likely cause relay malfunction or blown circuits; (3) many installers use the door-open signal (the door-jamb switch) as the trigger to activate the relay and illuminate the lights; (4) an alternative is a manual on/off switch wired through a relay. Multiple users report successful installs using this relay-based approach ^36373839.

Interior LED lighting reference: in reply to a question about which interior bulb base (цоколь) to buy, Фаб linked a Drive2 article on installing full LED interior lighting (https://www.drive2.ru/l/580702944115032920/); the thread does not state the base size ⁴⁰.
