Counterfeit engine oil: a 2025 raid. A 2025 DRIVE2 post (shared in the group) reports that police in Vladimir region found an illegal full-cycle motor-oil plant in the village of Ileykino (Kirzhach district), operating since March 2023, with 25 pallets of finished oil, two truckloads of goods and over 2 million RUB seized. The counterfeiters filled canisters of known global brands, including Shell, and barrels for service stations and transport companies, and also used tin canisters. The author's point is that marketplace oil cannot be verified by packaging alone: buy from official sellers and keep receipts. Commenters recommend Lukoil and Sintec, noting the official Lukoil store on Ozon and that Sintec is sold at Rosneft stations; no price or lab data is given, so treat this as a caution, not a verified oil list.1
Marketplace oil: two owner positions. One member would not buy engine oil from Wildberries-type marketplaces after a video test showed transformer-type fluid instead of motor oil; another buys only from a seller that provides certificates, in sealed iron cans with several seals, and says his car runs like clockwork.23 The same advice (metal canisters, verified suppliers) appears on the engine oil selection card and for filters on the filter part numbers card.
Counterfeit gearbox oil. The owner (Oleg Belousov) says counterfeit Lukoil-branded gearbox oil was bottled in Moscow for about five years and sold across Russia, but adds that the genuine-looking Lukoil oil he used was fine. Another commenter says to check the supplier's certificates and whether the fluid comes from Turkey, and that a Krasnoyarsk service tested its supply for about three months before using it, so the fluid is not to be trusted without supplier paperwork.45 For gearbox fluid specifications see the ATF and power-steering fluid card.
