General specifications overview

Engine block material: the FAW X80 engine block is constructed from aluminum alloy, not cast iron.¹²

Weight and payload: pre-facelift curb weight is 1545 kg, GVW (gross vehicle weight) 2035 kg, payload front 972 kg, payload rear 1018 kg. Post-facelift (model CA6462ATE5AG1): curb weight 1545 kg, GVW 2035 kg, payload front 997 kg, payload rear 1038 kg.³

License plate mounting: the X80 body is designed for square license plates (type 1a), the standard in China. Rectangular plates (type 1, the Russian standard) fit with an adapter (available on Ozon). Community consensus is that rectangular plates look aesthetically better on the X80's body design — square plates look less proportional against the vehicle's curved body lines. A rubber gasket/silicone pad should be used with square plates to prevent rattling and body-panel damage. Square-plate cost reported at ~1,900 RUB (2022 pricing, RU market). The adapter allows either plate type to be fitted.^{45678910111213141516}
