Some advice here concerns sub-zero winters and is less relevant in a hot climate.

Spec. The facelift ("restyle") X80 uses a 77 Ah battery 12. One example, a TUBOR ASIA SILVER 77.0 VL 650A EN (12V-77Ah B01, 3-year warranty, maintenance-free), lasted about 5 years before needing replacement — another owner with the same model reported the identical 5-year lifespan 345. Community guidance: when replacing, stick with the same 77 Ah capacity 35.

Capacity vs. cold-weather performance. Smaller-capacity batteries (below 77 Ah) charge faster because of the lower total amp-hour load (reduces pulsing current demand on the alternator), but their cranking amps (starting power) decrease proportionally — a real tradeoff, not a free lunch 678910. In extreme cold (below −35°C) gel-type batteries were noted to maintain performance better than conventional flooded types. Battery capacity matters less for short urban trips but becomes more important for winter cold-starts 78.

Battery options and pricing (January 2026). More recent battery choices and prices reported by the community (RU market, January 2026): - CHEN Asia 85D26L, 75 Ah: 13,000 RUB (2026-01-23) - AKOM Asia+EFB, 75 Ah: ~13,803 RUB, down to ~12,000 RUB with an old-battery trade-in (2026-01-22) - EBL 95D31L, 80 Ah: 8,000 RUB with old-battery trade-in (2026-01-19)
