OEM nominal part number: 370701037K (Chinese part number).¹ OEM standard spec: TORCH QH5RTIP-13.¹ Alternative iridium option: TORCH QH6RIU-11 — one owner at 100,000 km successfully replaced with this same model.²¹

Recommendation. TORCH brand is considered reliable by the community; both the standard and iridium versions are acceptable, with the choice coming down to owner preference and budget. Some owners have also used non-iridium alternatives or other brands successfully.³²⁴¹

Torque specifications (2025-06 report). Spark plug tightening torque varies by thread/hex diameter: 8mm plugs → 8–15 Nm; 10mm → 15–20 Nm; 12mm → 20–25 Nm; 14mm → 20–25 Nm; 18mm → 20–30 Nm. Contact nut torque: M4 → 0.8–1.5 Nm; M5 → 3.0–4.0 Nm. Using the correct torque wrench setting is critical to avoid over-tightening and thread damage.⁵⁶

Removal/installation tools and more brand data points (2025-09 report). Spark plug socket size is 16mm; a special long socket with a rubber insert or magnet is recommended to avoid dropping the plug into the cylinder. Additional brand data points from the community: NGK plugs verified working at 2,900 RUB per piece (RU market, September 2025); TORCH QH5RIU-13 also tested and confirmed working; Miles 067 verified reliable past 9,000+ km. Some owners apply spark-plug grease/vaseline to the connector and contact terminal to ease future removal — helpful but not required.^{789101112131415161718}

QH5RIU-13 as a recommended X80 (2020) plug (2025-10 report). TORCH QH5RIU-13 is separately recommended for the FAW X80 2020, available on the Ozon marketplace by searching the code directly.¹⁹

Miles ALSP067 iridium plugs as a Ford/Mazda equivalent. Miles ALSP067 iridium-electrode plugs serve as an analog to Ford/Mazda-spec plugs; one owner reported 10,000 km of successful operation.²⁰

Pricing (2025-10). Spark plugs cost approximately 1,600 RUB for a set of 4 when ordered from Emax (October 2025, RU market).²¹ Separately, LYNXauto SP216 iridium/platinum plugs were purchased for ~1,800 RUB (November 2025, RU market) — reported as high quality, with even gaps, perfect fitment, and a quieter-running engine after installation.²²²³

Removal difficulty at 100,000+ km (2025-11 report). At high mileage, spark plugs can be very difficult to remove due to corrosion/seizing, with a real risk of breaking the ceramic insulator if over-torqued during removal. Recommended installation torque: 18 kgf maximum — do not over-tighten. One owner spent 4.5 hours replacing a single plug after breakage during removal.^{24252627282930313233}

Degradation by 30,000 km causing hard starts (2024-08 report). Factory-fit TORCH QH6RTIP-13 plugs (1.3mm gap) showed significant electrode wear and insulator damage by 30,000 km, causing hard starts and weak ignition on one owner's car. Community-suggested alternatives: QH6RIU-11 (0.2mm gap difference from OEM, same heat range) and QH5RIU-13 (1.3mm gap matching OEM, one heat grade lower, cheaper). Reported pricing: these alternatives run roughly ₽50–100 each on AliExpress, versus a dealership markup of ₽500–700 per plug (both RU market, August 2024) for the same/equivalent parts.^{34353637383940414243444546}

Budget spark plug set pricing (2026-05 report). A budget spark plug set was available at approximately 900 RUB for a full set (May 2026), with Miles-brand plugs and other alternatives at similarly competitive prices.⁴⁷

Wear inspection at 30,000 km — photo documentation (2026-05 report). One owner removed the spark plugs at 30,000 km for inspection; photos show typical deposit accumulation and wear patterns for that mileage, used by the community as a wear-progression reference point.⁴⁸
