Tire pressure specification and seasonal adjustment
Tags: #tires
Some advice here concerns sub-zero winters and is less relevant in a hot climate.
OEM tire pressure specification for the FAW X80 is 2.4–2.6 bar (34–37 psi), per the label on the door jamb 123. Higher pressure (2.6 bar) reduces rolling resistance for better fuel economy but reduces ride comfort; lower pressure improves comfort. Community-suggested seasonal split: 2.6 bar in summer, 2.4 bar in winter to account for temperature-driven pressure changes 4.
