Some advice here concerns sub-zero winters and is less relevant in a hot climate.

Required aftermarket wheel specs for the FAW X80: 5×114.3 bolt pattern, and center bore (DIA) of not less than 67.1 mm. Other parameters (width, offset/ET, diameter) are flexible and can be chosen for looks/handling preference 1. If a wheel's center bore is larger than the hub (e.g. 76 mm DIA), centering rings are required to take up the gap. Example: an Alutec DTM 17" wheel (7.5J width, 38 ET offset, 76 mm center bore, 5×114.3 bolt spacing) fits the X80 but needs centering rings 12.

Offset (ET) guidance. ET45 wheels sit narrower/more inboard; smaller ET values (ET35/38/40/42) push the wheel further out toward the arch (flush look) — with these smaller ET values, the wheel looks wider on the car. For a disc width of 7–7.5 inches, the lower ET values (35–42) are recommended for a flush "stance" look 3.

Comprehensive factory wheel/tire fitment spec. FAW X80 factory parameters: R17 radius, 5×114.3 mm bolt pattern (PCD), 67.1 mm center bore (DIA), offset ET +50 to +52 (lower ET = more outboard/flush, consistent with the offset guidance above). Stock tire size is 215/60 R17. Fitment range: rim width 6.5–8.0 inches; acceptable tire sizes 215/60, 215/65, 225/55, 225/60 (225/65 is too wide and rubs the wheel arches at stock ET); ET can vary from 35–52 with wider aftermarket options available. Winter wheel options: steel stamped wheels (with optional wheel caps, ~1,300–1,400 RUB per wheel) or alloy wheels (nicer look, 1,000–3,000 RUB per wheel); both prices RU market, September 2024. A center bore (DIA) up to 70+ mm can be adapted with included plastic centering-reducer rings.
