Software/platform. Diagzone (X431 ecosystem) is the community's main diagnostic software; the Diagzone Pro subscription covers 650+ vehicle brands and includes the X80 ¹². It pairs with a cheap Mucar BT200 Wi-Fi/OBD dongle re-flashed to run the Diagzone backend, which can read the whole car (not just the engine) ¹². A "FAWCARS" module for Diagzone with updates specific to facelift (2019+) models is needed to read those cars correctly ³. The Android app CarMin contains wiring schematics (electrical diagrams) for the X80, separate from any scan tool ⁴.

Hardware options. - Mucar/Makar BT200 + Diagzone Pro: the community's default budget combo, ~8,000 RUB for the dongle alone (RU market, October 2024) ⁵; needs the Diagzone firmware flashed onto it (or paying an extra 8,000–10,000 RUB (RU market, October 2024) for a pre-flashed unit) to unlock full-vehicle diagnostics ⁶. ELM327 adapters — a separate cheap tier from Diagzone/Mucar. Distinct from the Diagzone-ecosystem hardware above, plain ELM327 clones are the budget default many owners simply keep in the glovebox: a "ELM327 OBD2 WI-FI v1.5, chip PIC18F25K80" unit sold on Ozon (https://ozon.ru/t/ynzRtEQ) pairs with the free Car Scanner Android app ¹⁹²⁰. Reliability is inconsistent — quality control on ELM327 clones is "luck of the draw": one owner's unit connected intermittently and dropped every 5 minutes and was called unusable, while another reported the same class of adapter working without issues since 2015; a third bought a v2.1 model hoping for better luck ²¹²²²³. Cost is low enough (~900 RUB (RU market, March 2024)) that replacing a bad unit isn't a big loss ²². - Car Scanner ELM OBD2 (Google Play: com.ovz.carscanner) is the community's preferred free app over the alternative OBD Mari, per an owner who tried both ²⁴²⁵. A flat/weak battery can trigger a wave of simultaneous fault codes (including on the AKPP) that clear on their own once the battery is reconnected/recharged. One owner had an airbag warning come on, took the car to a shop, was shown a long list of fault codes, and paid 1,500 RUB (RU market, February 2026) for a "diagnosis" that turned out to be exactly this — a fully discharged battery, not a real fault; afterwards they bought a cheap ELM327 adapter off AliExpress to check codes themselves in future and haven't seen any errors on it since ³¹³². A second, independent report corroborates the pattern: another owner's AKPP threw a low-voltage fault code after their battery went flat, and it likewise cleared once the battery issue was resolved ³³. - Erasing (not just reading) codes may need a "dual-board" ELM327. One owner who bought an extended-chip ELM327 (paired with PC/phone software) a few years earlier noted that clearing/erasing fault codes needs a "2-плата" (two-PCB) version of the adapter — the listing has to say this explicitly; a plain single-board unit reportedly can read but not reliably erase ³⁴. - FCAR CW700 — a separate professional-tier OBD2 scanner marketed for Chinese brands (Chery, Haval, Geely, Changan) with full-system code reading and free updates; suggested as an alternative when an ELM327 isn't enough, sold on Ozon (https://ozon.ru/t/b2ThFxa) ³⁵.

TPMS (tire pressure sensors). - Sensor batteries are normally sealed inside the sensor housing and not meant to be user-replaceable, though a video exists showing a practical workaround for opening a sensor and replacing its battery ³⁶. - A Moscow-based Avito service listing offers professional TPMS sensor programming, cloning, and adaptation to the vehicle — relevant for owners who buy generic/used replacement sensors and need them matched to the car ³⁷. - A RuTube video walks through TPMS sensor installation and programming for the X80, including adapting universal (non-OEM) sensors ³⁸³⁹.
