225/60/17 tire fitment on stock rims

Tags: #tires · #fitment · #wheels

225/60/17 tires fit on standard FAW X80 rims with no clearance issues and are reported to look better than the stock 215/60/17 size.¹²³⁴⁵⁶

Speedometer effect: the larger tire radius results in a +3 km/h speedometer variance (indicated speed reads higher than actual).⁵⁷

Not recommended: 225/65/17 — the taller sidewall means the tire will touch/rub the fender at full steering lock.⁷
